It might be because the story is told from the perspective of a princess instead of a man, it might be because the soundtrack of Akatsuki no Yona isn’t that great. What ever the case might be, I have a lot of trouble getting into this anime. I cannot put my finger on it. I know that the characters have depth and are all interesting, I know the story looks really fun and thrilling, but at the end of the day, I just lose interest when watching Akatsuki no Yona. I’ll be watching the episode and suddenly I’ll catch myself looking at my walls and I’ll be absolutely absent minded. Despite how dramatic the story is, despite how I actually love the turn of events in the show, despite my interest in a story such as this one, I just cannot get into Akatsuki no Yona.

This will be a very short review of the episode,  I simply wished to explain why I didn’t pick up this show despite being quite hyped for it. It seems the connection was just never established between me and this anime, there was some kind of bad chemistry there. If you enjoyed this episode, lucky for you, I am actually jealous as weird as it sounds. I really wanted to watch Akatsuki no Yona, I’m kind of bummed that I don’t like it. I swear Yona-chan, it is not you, it’s me.
