This might not come to a surprise to those of you who have been following this blog for a long time, especially if you noticed the trend in the amount of content that has been coming out lately, but I have been slowly diminishing the amount of work I do for 0-gate in the last year. In the coming weeks I’ll be saying my farewells.
We used to have 3 people posting regularly and covering gaming, technology and anime, but for the last year I’ve been on this alone and doing what I can. I used to cover 5 shows a week and as I am writing this, I just dropped God Eater which leave me covering only a single anime this summer. I’ve been blogging episodic reviews of anime for the past 5 years now, but all good thing comes to an end.
Gangsta will be the last anime I will be covering on the blog, I won’t pick up any new show this fall. I won’t close down the website just yet, but I won’t be producing any new content either. I am at a point in my life where I have too many projects and too little time, and unfortunately blogging as become something of a chore more than a fun activity. I’m missing only a handful of class to complete my engineering degree, I am building a website, I work little jobs here and there and I have a lovely girlfriend too. I will be moving on to other things.
I started blogging anime 5 years ago because there was this girl I had a crush on who blogged and I wanted to get closer to her. It worked out since we’ve been together ever since. I then decided to move to the next step and built my own website to prove myself I could do it, and it was very successful for a little while. But in the past year I’ve been working on project that passionate me way more, building software, video games and working with very talented people. I still enjoy watching anime, but blogging and maintaining the website became something I had to find time to do, instead of something I enjoyed.
I want to thank everyone who enjoyed our content for all these years and keep enjoying life!
