We are really pampered with Fate/Stay Night, having two hour long special (45 minutes but close enough), I wish the whole season followed such a schedule but I guess it would dddjust blow up the anime world with too much awesomeness. I really enjoyed the style of those first two episode, how they mirrored one another. Presenting the beginning of the Holy Grail War from two different perspective, it was a nice way to begin everything and really let us understand the two main character of the show.
I’m not sure I love either of one so far, but so far they prove to be such polar opposite the one from the other that it should be interesting to see if those two start working together or not. I mean, so far they should have quite the interest in working with one another, Tohsaka wanted Saber to begin with, she is also in it only for the win and has already consumed most of her mana to bring Emiya to life. I feel she could make use of Emiya to increase her power tremendously. Meanwhile, Emiya doesn’t understand anything about it all and he probably just want his wish to become possible more than anything else. I just feel this pair is meant to be. Then again, we are in the holy grail war and Tohsaka is a stubborn little bitch, so it wouldn’t even be that surprising if she decided she was going to fight Emiya no matter what for the sake of pride.
In other news, there are a lot of news report involving a lot of death around town. Between the murder of an entire family to the “gas leaks” in New City, It seems rather obvious that the Holy Grail War already has caused many death despite it just beginning. This is just speculation here, but considering the type of death, I feel like Lancer could have been responsible for some of the murdering. After all the guy did mention that his master was a coward and made him do dirty jobs. It could be that the one who summoned Lancer asked him to murder his entire family or something of the sort. I mention Lancer has the most probable culprit here simply because I hope there are only 3 Master in that town. I find it already rather odd that 3 Master operates right next to one another, it would be extremely odd if there was even one more. If there is indeed more than three though, the act of a Berserker is much more likely to produce the chaos and murder that happen in that household. Meanwhile, the death by gas leak really sound like something Caster would do, for what reason though remains to be seen, for all I know so far, this Caster could be just as cruel and crazy as the one in Fate/Zero, but that has not been determined yet.
At the end of the day, this episode of Fate/Stay Night was really well done and it makes me really excited to get the story to progress a bit further. We’ve got our episode one done now, we can stop looking at different point of view and we can dive straight into more action. I want to discover who everyone else involve is. We still have to find out about Rider, Assassin, Caster and Berserker. We got our three big fighting class out of the way, so now the more “interesting” class are left to be discovered. I cannot wait anymore, time to freeze myself and tell my family to unfreeze me when Saturday comes.
