This second episode definitively made things a bit clearer to what the show is all about, now the mystery of the beginning as lifted a bit and the real premise of the show has been revealed, you can therefore consider this to be the conclusion of my evaluation for the show. From the look of things, I won’t be blogging it throughout the season and here is why. While the show is definitively more than just a simple magical girl, while it does have a lot of very serious elements and that the show universe seems very good, the show is still a mahou shoujo at heart and it makes me feel really weird to watch it. A show about little pre-teen girls living their young life and fantasizing about being powerful magical card reader is just not fit for a grown man like me.
The show seems to focus a lot on the young girls lives and their interaction and characters are simply impossible for me to like and relate. At first the show made me really confused and optimistic because there was once a magical girl which managed to make me feel ok watching it and not like a complete weirdo and that show was Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Unfortunately from the look of things this show is just a regular magical girl and I won’t bother watching it or blogging it in the end.
The atmosphere of the show changed quite a bit from the previous episode and things are now just too childish for me to like in anyway, the show had my attention, but never managed to get my interest so I will leave it at this second episode. If you are a little girl I would recommend this show because it is definitively a really good magical girl, but it is nowhere near good enough to make me switch genre for it.
