I can’t say I was really surprised of the way things turned out between the hero and Satan, last episode preview was pretty revealing in term of the content of this episode. I’m just surprised at what extend the hero is mentally weak. I mean I understand that she lost all her magical power and physical prowess when she changed world, but you would expect someone who leads a whole race to victory by heroic acts would be just as strong mentally as she is physically. Now she was crying to her enemy every 5 minutes. I understand that it must be quite difficult to suddenly lose all of your power and everything that defined you and made you the awesome person that you were, but Satan managed to adapt fairly quickly, he is by far the most successful of the two.
I’m not so sure though that I enjoy his view of the world. I feel like being the manager at a McDo might not be the most powerful position in the world. I seriously hope that Satan will one day regain some of his power and ambition and that he will return to greatness, otherwise this show seems rather pointless. I like the idea that he lost everything and now he has to lead a regular life, but I don’t want to see him actually lead a regular life for the whole show, that would be rather boring. I want him to eventually become the powerful Satan he is supposed to be, or at least for him to get closer to his goals. If this show turns into a romance harem, I’ll be really disappointed. I was actually hoping for this episode to feature a lot more ecchi, I must admit I was a bit saddened when I realized that the ecchi would be something so light and only in the background. I very much love my ecchi and it has been a while since we had a good one (well there was boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai NEXT last season I guess).
It seems that now there will be even an additional character from the other world that will come to help them. From the look of things it seems that it will be an ally of the hero, after all it was already said that one of them nearly manage to pass to this world with her, yet I’m unsure why that person would start shooting at them. I mean I understand why he would be shooting at Satan, but I’m not so sure why they would shoot at the hero too. There is something fishy going on, but as long as it helps the story progress and make sure it doesn’t become a comedy slice of life, I’m all for any kind of weird event.
