Back from abroad, Kirino contacts all her friends about it and seems really happy, except that she still ignores her brother completely, which bothers him a lot. That is, until Kirino needs “life counseling” again
or a person to carry her bags, and goes to Akihabara for a third season PV and shopping K irino style. Meanwhile, Kyousuke ponders about Kuroneko’s confession from a really really long time ago for us and whenever he tries to talk to Kuroneko about it something happens and they can’t talk. (whatever happens at the end)
Oh, I missed this so much *tear*
I remembered vaguely how hilarious the first season of Oreimo was, and this one really brought me back 2 years and made me feel a tad bit of nostalgia. I remember how much I bitched about Kirino and Kyousuke’s relationship, how awesome Kuroneko is, how kawaii Manami is, and overall just how great this show was. Seeing otakus act like complete otakus always makes me happy on the inside. My love for Oreimo is probably unhealthy, but I’m glad it’s back; health is overrated anyways. *dances around*
This second season looks promising, although I have to admit that so far it doesn’t look like there’s much difference between the first and this one. I don’t think that, like Starwitch Meruru’s third season, there will be a huge difference between both, but it’s also impossible to ignore the few things which happened in the OVAs: Kirino’s departure and Kuroneko’s confession. Also, it’s important to notice that Kirino is a lot more aware of her brother now than before. Linking both this and Kuroneko’s open feelings, I’m expecting to see quite a bit of love drama here.
Okay, hopefully they won’t center everything around it, but the fact that Kuroneko and Kyousuke are together in the OP shown at the end of this episode definitely says something; I didn’t think they’d be going out, but after that scene I’m a little curious and slightly fangirling. Whether my doubts are correct, doesn’t change the fact that we’ll definitely see some romance somewhere in this second season; probably a lot more than in the first season. Apart from this, I don’t know what else could go wrong and screw up Kirino’s and Kyousuke’s life; more otakus, maybe? It’d be fun if a new character showed up or something…
Looking at this episode only, it seems like Kirino really missed Akihabara after being away for so long. Must be fun to go back home… Especially when you buy thousands of dollar’s worth of money of figurines and eroges. Honestly, I know they say she has a lot of money and a huge closet, but there’s a limit to what she can hide in a closet… Right? Hopefully she sold a few games from before, when her closet was, you know already full. I also can’t believe that Kyousuke has such a sister complex that he’d let her carry that many bags, but he’s been this way for so long that it’d probably be weird that Kirino become such a ice person. She did when she left, and I barely got over it.
Put me in the blogging list for this one; it’l most likely be the only new thing I blog from the Spring season due to my busy schedule, but I can’t skip this one!
