We then get the WHOLE EXPLANATION OF HOW THIS WHOLE THING WORKS. It turns out that Takashi is the main character and that Chitose and Hayato were created, all in order to replace Youji, because Youji has shut himself up in the abyss since his mom was mean to him and since, in order to protect Kobato, he killed her.
As Youji slowly comes back, remembering everything with the help of his sister, the whole drama is explained, we learn that this show is a hell of a lot more dramatic than I thought it would be, and in the end Youji is back in his real body.
Once he comes back, he decides to go and tell everyone who took care of “them” about the whole story, what happened and all. Everyone seems to be taking it in pretty well
YOU SHOULDN’T, we learn that Morisato, someone who wasn’t important before, is in fact Youji’s best friend, and the episode goes on happily as everyone seems to be happy, and all 4 girls try to stick around Youji in order to get their guys back with the original personalities.
MINDFUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTFFFFF THIS SHOW IS FREAKING RETARDED!!!!!
… Talk about having plot twists. Alright, so I was actually kinda right when last episode I mentioned my theory about Takashi being insane, however now it turns out that it was all Youji who was insane because his mommy beat him when he was a kid and then he stabbed her and shut his mind up to make up 4 different personalities. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Seriously, this show made so much sense, because all the episodes were leading to this conclusion when you think about it, but still… I didn’t expect something so serious and dramatic to come out of the bullshit and comedy we’ve had in the whole show. Moreover, all the fantasy stuff we’ve had from before turned out to have a logical explanation and became something completely realistic that could actually happen in the real world.
I found it really awesome how Youji’s story was explained in the beginning. The kid’s drawings, the music, everything was really dramatic, and I actually got really into it and I was kinda wondering if I was watching the right show at times, because it was so dramatic. If there was one thing in this episode that messed up my head, was when we met tons of new people that we hadn’t even seen before, but that they took the time to present to us. My guess is that they’re part of the manga, but still… Presenting new characters in the last episode? That’s a serious mindfuck in my opinion.
Anyways… Unlike my thoughts from last episode, I was actually quite happy with the ending. Yes, all the guys were fake, but at least they didn’t completely disappear, Takashi was also fake and the storyline that was used to wrap everything up ended up being way more sophisticated than what I thought.
I also liked the very last scene, which reminded us of the very first scene of the show, it was seriously quite well done and I also liked DJ Condor’s rant at the end of the show.
The overall impression of this will follow a bit later, I’ll try to post it ASAP.
