We are still right at the beginning of our quest for Nanana’s Collection and we already got quite a bit of trouble in just about every direction. First we have another puzzle solved, then the Club president turns out to be an asshole in quest for power and we have bad thieves trying to steal the pieces of the collection that were just obtained. Best comment I can say for this episode is…Well, that escalated quickly!
We are already at solving our second puzzle and the show barely started. I was rather unimpressed when I saw the first two part of her Collection. A lie detector and a fancy teapot…can’t say it was the most amazing of treasure. Now fast forward just a few minutes later and we find a magical wand that can make any wish become a reality…Well here goes the importance of every other treasures ever found ! I mean, having a lie detector was kind of neat, but compared to the ability of creating anything you can imagine, we’ve already reached a whole new league here. We never got to learned what exactly the downsize of that treasure was, but I would gladly take a device able to make anything possible rather than anything else. What is the downsize to that? I need enough creativity? I’ll gladly live with such restrictions, I never felt like my imagination was such a huge constraint in my life.
Something else that really escalated quickly this episode was the amount of villains in the show. Go back just one episode and we had two inconspicuous thieves missing their chances, and now we have 2 rough thieves beating up our main character and meanwhile the Club president became the most powerful men on the universe. The three new club members got severely screwed in joining that adventure Club. First they got destroyed in their initiation, then they risk their life to obtain a new treasure…just to have the Club president freeze them, put them to sleep and then teleport away with an object capable of ruling the world. That’s one bad club experience if I had to point one out.
Speaking of bad experiences, I want to understand just how dangerous the puzzle those people are solving are. The show seems very…happy? So it seems rather unlikely that someone will die, but at the same time everyone seems to constantly be in constant fatal danger. With traps that are this deadly and difficult to get out of, how come no one died yet? Or did people already did die and they just haven’t had a chance to mention it? I just feel like I’ll be rather disappointed if no explanation is ever given for the incredible danger of those puzzle and the lack of death.
