This show is actually a lot better than what I expected it to be, I assumed it would be some kind of kid show of some kind, but instead it was actually a really funny comedy. The show is obviously not meant to be taken seriously, it a joke in and of itself, but it is nonetheless hilarious. I never really bought into shows that praised justice and good or evil, but if the show is made to be as ridiculous as Samurai Flamenco is, I can definitively go along the idea. It really just goes to show how ridiculous those ideals are.
I’m still rather scared of this show somehow though. It just seem so deep and serious at time that I don’t know if they actually want to go towards a more serious super hero route or if they will stay on the path of a fail-hero with good intentions. This show good be a really good seinen comedy if they follow the fail-hero path, but it could also become such a shitty cheesy anime if they actually take the actual super hero path. Because of how dangerous it is I think I’d keep a close eye on the show before recommending it to anyone, I feel that its future is too uncertain.
I think I might very watch the second episode of this show, and even the whole thing if it stays this interesting, unfortunately though there are many really great shows this season and while Samurai Flamenco is actually an interesting fresh concept, it remains a little too corny and not good enough for me to blog it. I still think there is a lot of potential in the show, might it be good or bad, one way or another this show will either be quite good or quite bad, so I’d keep an eye out for it.
