It is finally here; we have the reveal of the secret kept since so long ago. We now understand everything there is to know about the Hideauze and the Galactic Human Alliance. It should be a great surprise and make everything even more interesting than it used to be, yet I harbor little interest in the show even with this huge revelation. This is the kind of episode that I wanted and was waiting for since episode 2; it simply took too long and the show is now already dead to me.
It has been 7 episodes since anything sci-fi-ish happened, and now they reveal it so close to the end that little could happen really. If this was the 5th episode I would be so pumped about Suisei no Gargantia right now; but it is not. Instead, we got 7 episodes of bullshit in between to completely ruin the show and now they give us something interesting. I feel like the story was really interesting and deserved to be made into an anime but that the final product just butchered what the show was supposed to be completely. I didn’t feel any kind of emotion what so ever during the show, not any surprise, not any tears, not any passion; I didn’t feel a thirst to learn more about anything. There is no point for Suisei no Gargantia to be this pretty if the content is to be this empty.
Anyways, let’s pretend that I care for this show for about a minute and we’ll talk about what happened this episode. It was no surprise to learn that the secret hidden by the whale squid was related to the current situation in space; I guess that everyone was expecting that much, but it was surprising to learn that the Hideauze were actually human. I mean, we never once saw their more humanoid forms after all, why would they be transformed this much and only now we would see their true form? I think there are still so many things in this show which makes little to no sense. I understand how some people would be conservative enough to attack someone who would partake in such biological engineering practices; it also wouldn’t be surprising to see the whole world enter in a war because of it, but I find it kind of doubtful that this war would last for such extended period of time. It is thousands of years later and they are still waging war on each other; there is a limit to how butthurt you can be about some scientific experiment. I’m not sure what the show is supposed to tell us, or who we are supposed to be cheering for, but in the current situation I feel like the Galactic Alliance are complete idiots. Then again, I feel like the people on the Gargantia are even more retarded now that so much information has been found. I just hate this show so much, I can’t wait for it to end. I despise ignorance and this show is just overflowing in it.
