Now, if any of you have been following this blog, you may have noticed that everything is absolutely crazy and I am currently extremely late in basically all the series I’m blogging. Now why, must you ask, did I decide to take care of this show when the episode just came out, while all the others are already super late?
You see, from what I’ve seen of the Spring Season, so far it’s really traumatizing and nothing makes sense, this is even worse than I had expected at first. This show, however, is sure to be awesome, and so I basically decided to watch it and hopefully forget this trauma from watching disturbing shows this season
especially the one involving a certain granny swinging her boobs around… I don’t think I’ll ever get over that...
Anyways, let’s get this started, shall we? This continuation starts off with a short summary of the first season, suddenly cut off by Keima who says “Didn’t you watch the first season?” and then the cute little game/summary is stopped and the opening starts
I love you Keima! No one cares about first season summaries. Watch the first season if you wanna know what happens. Pfft.
really sweet opening sequence, we get to see Keima and Elci doing as usual, arguing, arguing and arguing some more. This time, Keima is sick of conquering girls I can totally understand, and after pulling out some theory about them we had figured it out already last season anyways, at least I had, gets attacked by Parsley heads thugs and is saved by a badass looking girl who beats them up. The girl, Kasuga, turns out to be the next loose soul, and after a short scene we manage to figure out that she may look incredibly badass but she’s in love with cute things yeah, that was predictable. Apparently, those cute things include Keima’s drawings, and I have no idea what she finds so cute about them since they look so damn weird. That guy can’t draw for his life…
Anyways… Upon doing some
stalking observing, Keima decides he will become Kasuga’s pupil in order to approach her ohhhhhh my god, I totally want to see this… *evil laugh*. After hanging out with her for a while, Keima finally learns about her love for cute things, and how torn apart she is between loving cute things and being a martial artist she even splits into 2 O.o Woah. Keima tries to help her out, tells her she has to FACE HER FEARS!!! and in the end Elci proposes that they go on a date together Hehehehehe. They are forced to agree, and the episode ends.
Hmm, to start off this second season, there were many good things to this first episode, however there are a couple of things that also made me a little edgy on it. I’m expecting more out of this season than what they have showed me, that’s for sure.
To start off, most of the episode was very like the first season, however I must say that what deceived me the most was Kasuga’s actual personality. I thought it was very clichéd, and to be honest when I learned she was a martial artist I knew right away they would make her love cute things, it was way too predictable. It’s really easy to figure out how she thinks, and I really wasn’t impressed with her development either, I can see everything coming along a mile away.
Apart from this, everything was basically the same as last season, which is awesome. It’s funny, adorable, adorable and, most of all, adorable
did I mention it was adorable? Just making sure. As clichéd as Kasuga’s personality was, that date idea made me laugh and I hadn’t predicted that one. I liked how Keima’s personality seems to be in development in this arc as well, I mean this date will probably be his first date not including the virtual world, and also don’t tell me that he won’t think Kasuga’s not cute when she’s wearing a dress that pretty. She looks stunning!
Talking about cute things, I’m surprised Kasuga didn’t flinch one bit when she saw Elci. I mean, come on, that girl is the most adorable thing in the whole freakin’ world! I was really happy to see her again, I don’t have much more to add but I just wanted to mention how cute this girl was
I had to.
Now, overall, I’m not sure if this season will differ much more from the first one, I do hope so because I kinda wish Keima will go through greater character development, it would be nice for Elci as well. Yes, loose souls are awesome, however in the end it might become redundant and I want some actual plot!
Some people keep mentioning that there will be some nice plot twists, and so I’ll keep my hopes up!
Next episode, it’s DATE TIME!! Get ready for some intense cute blabbing away on my part, after all the cuteness of this is one of the only reasons I watch this; Everything is simply adorable.
